Greetings Fellow Book Dragons

Welcome
 to yet another librarian blog. Hoping this will be different than others as I plan to incorporate all things Youth Services; my reading challenges, goals, and suggested reading; professional development gains (and tips); and more.

You may be asking... "What is a Book Dragon?"

Well, Rachel Skye @rachelskyereads on TikTok believes Book Dragons "...hoard books, we collect books. They sit on our shelves reading them is irrelevant."

@rachelskyereads

There are book worms and then there are book dragons… I am both. A middengard wyrm if you will. #bookworm #bookdragon #bookish #books #reader #booktok #acotar

Then there is Batmanime's definition on Urban Dictionary: "A person who is not just a bookworm, but consumes(reads) books so vigorously like their lives depends on it."

I like to think of myself as a Book Dragon similar to the former definition, but while my books on the shelf are untouched I DEVOUR audiobooks like my life depends on it!

Which are you? Bookworm or Book Dragon? Neither, both, or another all together? Let me know in the comments!

Stay tuned for more news from the Lair of the Librarian.
